A One-Day Experiential for Couples Who Want to Feel Closer — Not Just Communicate Better

March 14, 2026 9:30am - 5pm

United Bank Community Room, Brevard, NC

You love each other

But you keep having the same argument.

One of you reaches.
The other pulls away.
One of you wants reassurance.
The other feels criticized.
You both leave the conversation feeling alone.

It’s not that you don’t care.
It’s that you’re stuck in a pattern.

The Secure Love Lab is a one-day immersive workshop designed to help couples understand their patterns and triggers, and practice real-time repair — in a structured, supported environment.

This isn’t about learning scripts.
It’s about creating safety.

what you’ll learn:

Understanding the Parts That Hijack You

We all have protective parts that show up in conflict.

The critical part.
The shutdown part.
The defensive part.
The anxious part.

Instead of shaming them, you’ll learn how to understand them — and speak from a more grounded, connected place.

The Attachment Dance

You’ll identify your negative cycle — the pursue/withdraw pattern that keeps you stuck — and learn how to depersonalize it.

Because the problem isn’t your partner.
It’s the pattern.

Communication That Actually Lands

You’ll practice:

  • Speaking from feeling instead of accusation

  • Naming needs clearly

  • Making clean, doable requests

  • Repairing small ruptures before they become big ones

But always through the lens of safety and regulation.

Repair in Real Time

This is where it becomes a Lab. Get curious!

You’ll be guided through a structured conversation around a mild real-life conflict — with support and coaching — so you can experience what secure repair actually feels like.

Not perfect.
Not scripted.
Real.

This Workshop Is For Couples Who…

Are committed to the relationship and want to deepen the connection.

You both feel stuck in repetitive conflict, and you’re willing to look at your own patterns.

You both are ready to learn tools and embody a new way of being with one another.

This Workshop Is Not For…

Couples in active crisis or ongoing betrayal are not a good fit. Nor are relationships with untreated addiction or active abuse.

If your partner is not willing to participate, it’s best not to bring them, however, if you yourself would like to join, that is welcome.

If you’re unsure whether it’s a fit, you’re welcome to reach out before registering.

About me

I’m a licensed therapist and relationship-focused practitioner with a background in attachment theory, Internal Family Systems, and nervous system healing. I’ve been working in mental health for over 20 years, married for 15 years, and parenting a teenager - where the true work happens!

I believe anxiety is often a signal — and so is conflict.

Underneath most arguments is a longing to feel chosen, understood, and safe.

The Secure Love Lab is an invitation to meet that longing with skill, compassion, and courage.
