My Story

While therapy is about you, it may help to know a bit about me and that I’m with you on this human journey.

I was raised in CT, and lived out west for a long time before settling in NC 14 years ago. My husband and are on the wild ride of raising a daughter in this modern world and caring for our many fur babies. What I enjoy most is a hot cup of coffee on the porch during a rainstorm, a good horror movie, deep conversations that heal, hot yoga and dancing wildly, and quiet walks through these mountains I now call home.

I knew at 16 I was going to be a therapist. I kept seeing how we carry our past around in our bodies, how it shapes our thoughts, and how old patterns hold us back from being who we know we are. I always wondered about the meaning of life and why we’re here. Unlearning all the good-girl conditioning and discovering how to feel safe and connected in my body has been my life’s work.

I completed two Master’s degrees; one in Transpersonal Psychology (Institute of Transpersonal Psychology) and the other in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Univ. of the Cumberlands). I’m fascinated by the intersection of modern science and spirit.

My 22 years of professional experience range from working in a variety of settings like residential treatment, community mental health, wilderness therapy, methadone and ketamine-assisted treatment, managing a global trauma-informed coaching company, as well as a reputable weight loss wellness program.

I’m trained in Psychedelic-Assisted-Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, PolyVagal theory, Somatic Experiencing, Attachment Theory, The Developmental Model of Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, as well as 5 Rhythms, Restorative Yoga, Expressive Arts Therapy, Ecopsychology, Jungian-based Dream Analysis, Conscious Dying Death Doula work, Intuitive Eating and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. I have to say, it’s been being a mother and wife that have given me the most practice in healing patterns, hanging in the tension, and practicing compassion towards self and others.

It is an honor to partner with you to ensure you’re aligned in all areas of your life. I will weave in a variety of practices and together we will co-create an authentic experience so you can joyfully tend to yourself, cultivate healthy relationships, befriend your body and invest your energy in a way you believe in.
